Dear ATME friends,
We are so pleased to share the workshops and panels accepted for the upcoming ATHE conference. This year’s proposals really reflect the deep, embodied work our community is doing.
Please join me in congratulating the following sessions:
- Archetypes & Clowning: Bridging Divides to Ignite New Possibilities in Contemporary Actor Training
- Centering the Performance Techniques of Michael Chekhov in Care and Community
- Cohorts, Collaborators, & Conspirators
- Creating a Cross-Organizational Consent Community
- Fitzmaurice and Knight-Thompson in Rasaboxes: Experiments in Embodied Voice, Speech and Movement
- Mindfulness in Actor Training: Building a Foundation for Imagination, Wellness, and Resilience through Somatic Awareness and Embodied Practices
- Practicing Embodied Agency through Somatic Consent in Solo and Ensemble Performance
We are also currently looking for three presenters for our ATME Debut Panel. This is a curated session specifically for graduate students or artist/scholars who have never presented at an ATHE conference before. It’s a supportive way to ease into the conference
with extra guidance from our focus group.
If you are interested in the Debut Panel or are still planning to submit an individual proposal, please remember that the deadline for this second round of submissions is this Friday, March 27.
If you’re eligible for the debut session and have any questions, just reach out to me or Rachel. We’re glad to be part of this work with you and excited for what’s ahead.
Thanks everyone, and see you soon.
Jonathan
