Binghamton University seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of dance position to support the Theatre Department’s musical theatre BFA program. Candidates must have experience in musical theatre and will teach musical theatre dance, as well as jazz, tap, ballet, and/or other dance styles in the candidate’s areas of expertise. In addition to teaching, this position will be responsible for choreographing department musical productions. It will provide pedagogical and professional mentorship to a diverse array of students preparing for the demands of the current and future musical theatre landscape. The ideal candidate will have achieved distinction as a choreographer, dance teacher, and/or musical theatre performer, and will continue their creative research while working towards tenure and promotion.
